Back from my hols… and raring to go… away again ☕🙂
Well, I’m back.
What a week. I’m as red as a lobster, totally relaxed, and only mildly disappointed that the team here didn’t even need me.
The kettle, I suspect, has been one of the hardest working staff members we have, but all our orders still went out and HQ hadn’t burnt down, so what more can you ask for than that hey.
Everyone had a holiday
I must confess, the one thing I did notice on my return is how refreshed the team looked too.
Which probably proves two things. Firstly, I need to take more holidays and secondly, the business clearly doesn’t need me hovering quite as much as I imagined.
I’m still processing that one.
I quietly hoped to come back to complete chaos so I could feel important again, but no such luck. If anything, there seems to be a suspiciously good atmosphere around here.
Either everyone missed me terribly… or they’ve realised things run smoother without me.
Jury’s still out 😀
About all those odd posts…
And one thing that did dawn on me while I was away though — and probably because I finally had time to think properly — is just how odd the last few months all our socials must have looked from the outside.
There’s been paint opened for no obvious reason, oak counters being varnished, bells pressed, tiles laid, random bits of equipment arriving, and a growing collection of videos online that raise far more questions than answers.
And to be fair, plenty of people have asked what on earth we’re actually up to.
Truthfully, we’ve quite enjoyed the guessing.
Because what you’ve been seeing hasn’t really been some grand launch plan. It’s just been us building. Slowly. One post, one video, one slightly questionable DIY decision at a time.
Tomorrow’s the day
It really is… If you’re following us on any of our social channels, tomorrow we finally reveal a new sign — something that’s been quietly brewing away in the background through all of this.
And honestly, it feels a bit strange.
Not because it changes who we are — it doesn’t.
We’re still the same delightful shop, same kettle, same slightly chaotic approach to getting things done. But it does feel like the start of something bigger.
A slow start, definitely. A long play, absolutely — and the beginning of turning our little shop into something we hope people will follow, not just buy from.
Till the kettle goes back on…
The Brew is back. I’m back. And tomorrow, all those odd posts finally make sense… Maybe.
May your holidays recharge you properly, your signs hang straight, and a cup of tea always be waiting for you when you get home.
Thanks for reading,
Nick and all the Interdelightful Crew 💫
