This might be our Yellow Pages moment ☕📒
You can always tell when spring has properly arrived. Not just by the lighter mornings or the rows of Easter eggs appearing in the supermarkets, but by the way things just start to feel a little easier and we can all slow down and look ahead to warmer months.
The shop itself takes a huge breath, the kettle finally gets a normal shift, and we get a chance to look around and ask ourselves a simple question… what next?
Because, if we’re honest, things feel different this year.
Retail isn’t what it used to be. You don’t need to run a shop to see that. Footfall has changed, customers behave differently, and the old ways of being found don’t quite work like they once did.
For years our bread and butter was SEO. People searched, we appeared, orders came in. Simple.
But lately… it’s started to feel a bit like the old Yellow Pages. (if you’re old enough to even remember it 😀)
SEO is still there. Still useful.
But no longer where people begin.
So… what now?
Like we do every year at this time, we sit down, have a proper think, and take stock. What worked, what didn’t, and what we want to try next.
And this year, more than any other, it feels like it’s time for a shift.
Not a panic. Not a reinvention for the sake of it. Just an honest look at where things are heading… and stepping into it.
Less “selling”, more showing up live.
Less pushing, more chatting online.
Letting people browse, even if they’re not stood at the counter.
It’s early days.
But it feels right.
And in a funny sort of way, it feels a lot like spring itself. It doesn’t arrive all at once, it just creeps in. A bit more light, a bit more warmth, a few signs that something’s changing — and then one day you realise everything feels different.
That’s where we are.
We’ve not fully figured it out yet,
But we are moving with purpose.
And that is all we need.
Watch this space, it’s going to be one heck of a journey and you guys will be there from the start.
