Three Days to Mother’s Day ☕🌸

Three days.

That’s all that stands between now and Mother’s Day.

And if you’re wondering how we can tell… well, in a flower shop it’s never just the date on the calendar.

It’s the way the week slowly builds.

Monday starts quietly enough.

Tuesday gets a little busier.

Wednesday a little busier again.

By Thursday the shop feels full.

By Friday the kettle hasn’t stopped.

And by Sunday… well, let’s just say it’s all too blooming late anyway.

A Reliable Indicator

For us though, there’s one very reliable sign.

We just take a peek at what the boss is up to.

He always starts the week calm enough.

Almost suspiciously calm.

But by about midweek he develops what can only be described as an unusual amount of energy.

Pacing.

Checking lists.

Walking past boxes and tapping them like a man inspecting cargo before a sea voyage.

Occasionally appearing with a cup of tea he’s completely forgotten to drink.

Which is usually the moment the rest of us realise…

Yes — it’s definitely Mother’s Day soon..

And for all the Florists out there…

By the time Sunday arrives, every one of us has officially entered Mother’s Day delivery mode.

With bouquets ready to go in buckets.

Balloons bobbing about in vans .

And somewhere between the ninth delivery and the fifth cup of tea… someone usually remembers something important.

That we should probably call our own mums too.

Or visit them.

Or simply pause for a moment and think about them.

Because Mother’s Day means different things for different people.

For some it’s breakfast in bed and a big hug.
For others it’s a phone call across the miles.
And for some it’s a quiet moment remembering mums, grandmums, step-mums — or the people who filled that role in our lives.

Whatever the day looks like for you, we hope it’s a kind one.

Until our next brew -

May your tea stay warm, your deliveries run smoothly, and your mum feel thoroughly appreciated this Mother’s Day. 🌼

Cheers,
The Interdelightful Crew 💫
