If you've ever moved house, you'll know the feeling. You're living there, but not really. Half the boxes are still unpacked, you can't remember where you've put anything and, looking back, you really wish you'd taken the time to label them properly.

That's pretty much where we are.

Not physically thankfully, but over the next few weeks we're slowly moving onto Stream Street, and I'd be lying if I said it'll all happen without the odd wobble along the way.

The easiest way I can explain it is this.

Over the last twenty-five years we've had to adapt more times than I care to remember. We sold our first rose online before eBay even existed, learnt SEO as Google was finding its feet and somehow managed to keep up every time the internet decided to reinvent itself.

Well... here we go again.

People don't just discover businesses through websites anymore. They discover them through people, stories, videos and conversations.

So instead of building another website, we started building a street.

A fictional little high street where everything we do can live together instead of being scattered across different websites.

More importantly, it's somewhere we can share the bits in between. The people behind the parcels, conversations over a cup of tea, the odd bit of organised chaos and all those little moments that never really belong on a product page.

And, in time, it'll become somewhere you can actually drop in and visit. We'll be live from the counter, chatting, packing orders, ringing the bell and seeing what turns up on the street that day.

But rest assured, behind all our new shop fronts, nothing has really changed. It's still the same people, the same thoughtful, curated gifts and, almost certainly, the same kettle.

Like any house move, things might feel a little untidy for a while. Over the next few weeks you'll probably notice the odd website changing, a few links moving about and our social media names gradually becoming Stream Street. Even this Weekly Brew will evolve a little as it slowly settles into our new home.

So if something looks a bit different from one week to the next, don't panic. We're still unpacking.

We are still open, the kettle's still on and browsing is still welcome.
